Ex- Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor stands accused of committing sexual assaults against 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
List of Offences
The charging documents said the forty-five sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
